<p>Leslie Keen is owner of Vine and Fig Garden Company, a landscape and irrigation company providing design, installation and maintenance. Her company’s operations are based on organic landscape solutions and water conservation practices. She has been in the landscape and nursery industry for ten years. She spent 15 years as an International Logistics/Materials management specialist in bulk cargo movement for the steel and construction industry.</p>
<p>Leslie Keen was raised in Texas, Colorado and Puerto Rico. She recently moved from Trinidad West Indies to Montgomery Texas and lives with her husband. She has spent the last 25 years as an advocate for organic gardening methods and resource conservation. She is editor of the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association Region II newsletter and serves on the board for Texas Irrigation Network.</p>

<p>Dr. Hari J. Krishna, P.E., P.H.<br />
Austin, Texas</p>
<p>Dr. Krishna has over 35 years of  experience in several water-related areas such as Rainwater Harvesting, Water Conservation  techniques, Irrigation Engineering and Hydrology.  He received a Ph.D. degree in Engineering  from Utah State University  with major coursework in Civil Engineering and Irrigation Engineering.  Previously, he earned a Masters degree from  Kansas State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from India. He is a  registered Professional Engineer and a certified Professional Hydrologist.</p>
<p>He was employed as a Senior  Engineer/Team Leader in the Water Quality division at the Texas Commission on Environmental  Quality (TCEQ) from 1993 to 2000, and as a Senior Engineer in Innovative Water  Technologies at the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) from 2000-08.  He retired from State Government in  2008.  Previously, he served as the  Director of the V.I. Water Resources Research Institute, and as a faculty  member at Utah State University, and with the Texas A&amp;M University System.</p>
<p>Dr. Krishna founded the American  Rainwater Catchment Systems Association (ARCSA) in 1994, and served as its  President for 11 years.  ARCSA has a current  worldwide membership of about 700 members. He was also the Executive Vice  President of the International Rainwater Catchment Systems Association (IRCSA)  for two terms.     <br />
    A notable accomplishment of Dr.  Krishna is the TWDB publication “Texas Manual on Rainwater Harvesting” which is  a globally respected publication on rainwater harvesting.</p>
<p>Hari has been an active member of  the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the Texas section of AWWA since  many years, and formerly, he was a member of the American Society of  Agricultural Engineers and Vice president of the American Institute of  Hydrology, Texas section.</p>
<p>During his career, Dr. Krishna has  presented and/or published more than 100 papers.  He has been recognized and listed in “Who’s  Who in Science &amp; Engineering”, “American Men &amp; Women of Science”, and  “Who’s Who in America”.  He was also presented with the Distinguished  Alumnus Award by Utah   State University.</p>

<p>In 1985, Tom and his wife Sarah, moved from Oklahoma City to Spring. They have been married for 42 years and have 3 children and 4 granddaughters.</p>
<p>In December of 1999 Tom earned his irrigation license, LI 7115.  And in 2000 he joined the Houston Gulf Coast Irrigation Association. From 2004-2009 Tom served as HGCIA&#8217;s treasurer.  He currently serves the association in the newly created position of Executive Director.</p>

In 2001, Jay became the Landscape Construction Manager for Pampered Lawns Construction of Houston, managing new installations for the landscape and irrigation.</p>
<p>In 2006, he became a board member of the Houston Gulf Coast Irrigation Association and was elected President in December of 2008.  Recently Jay acquired his BPAT certification. He and his wife live in Cypress with their three daughters.</p>

<p>Doug Goodwin received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A &amp; M University in 1974.  He immediately became the President of Greenspoint Nursery, Inc. which was a landscape service, retail outlet, plant leasing and floral design company.  In 1983, Doug became Texas Certified Nurseryman #694; and in 1984, he became Texas Licensed Irrigator #1830.  He then established his own company,   Irrigation  Services, in the Houston Area, where he continues to work in the irrigation industry.  He has served as a board member of the Texas Turf Irrigation Association (secretary in 1995) and as President of the Houston Gulf Coast Irrigation Association (1996-97).  In 1997, Doug became a state approved instructor for Basic Irrigation Training and Continuing Education classes, primarily in CAD Design.  From 2005 to the present, Doug served on the TCEQ Irrigation Advisory Council becoming it’s Chairman in 2009.  He and his wife Connie live in Magnolia, Texas</p>

<p>Mr. Jerry R. Lewis, a Texas Licensed Irrigator since 1982, holding Texas license number LI 1251.  He  holds certifications as a Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor, Texas  Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester, as well as Texas Commission on  Environmental Quality training provider.  Jerry has served as a Texas Plumbing Inspector and has held water and wastewater certifications.  In  his public service career he has held positions across the state as  Director of Parks and Recreation, City Manager and General Manager of  Utility Districts. </p>
<p>With  a Bachelor of Science from Abilene Christian University as well as  Masters work at Texas A &amp; M University, Jerry provides training  throughout the state in Basic Irrigation, Backflow Prevention Assembly  Testing, and various Continuing Education courses. He is the owner and  instructor of Sundance Training of Keller, Texas.  With a  dedicated interest in water quality and its conservation, Jerry has  served as the Executive Director of Lone Star Irrigation Association.  He recently completed a six year term on the Texas Commission on  Environmental Quality Irrigator Advisory Council. During his time on  the council he served as chair of the Education, Legislation, and Rules  committees, and is the past Chairman of the Advisory Council.</p>
